2010 3rd-year courses & Convenor's email list

Women's and Gender Studies majors or undergrads interested in doing more WGS courses should note that I keep an email list to enable me to keep in touch with you. Apart from the occasional news item of interest, I often send out info on available courses, the new major ('minor'), and so on.

One important thing to note concerning 2010, for example, is that because of the changeover to the new BA there will be few third-year WGS courses available. The online handbook lists only the (old BA) courses with 'WOMS' numbers, not electives that also count toward a WGS major (such as ATSI3002/AUST2012/SOCA3209 Indigenous Australia: Gendered Identities or HIST3110 The Roman Family); therefore it is better to check the courses section on this website when deciding on courses to enrol in. If there is another third-year course not on our list that you believe is sufficiently related to WGS issues to count toward the WGS major, you may ask the Convenor (from next year, Dr Zora Simic) to approve it. Alternatively, you could ask for approval to count a second-year WGS course as third-year.
